Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations bring down the house with a powerful mix of Motown/Memphis Soul Music that’s guaranteed to get the party started! This is a 100% Old School R&B Revue complete with fabulous female singers, a full horn section, and a show that that will knock your socks off! The band was formed in 2015 and is based in Hallowell, Maine. The Soul Sensations cover Soul Classics from Sam and Dave, the Supremes, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Aretha Franklin, and Etta James. When Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations hit the stage, it is an instant Soul Train dance party and a History of Soul Music all wrapped up in a single package of FUN!

Their three albums also provide a wealth of original R&B music to their sets. The band has a smooth rapport with any audience, and this, along with the band’s danceable repertoire, and unique showmanship, make this band your Sensational choice for concerts and events.

Their album – TAKE IT! – was released to national acclaim at the world famous 2018 Maine Blues Festival and they premiered their SOULFUL collection of Holiday Classics – A MOTOWN CHRISTMAS – at the sold-out Chocolate Church Arts Center on November 30, 2019. Their newest recording – LITTLE BIT OF FUN – was released world-wide on July 27, 2022. Music critic, Aimsel Ponti of the Portland Press Herald said, “Wow! Has anyone seen my socks? They were knocked clear off by the new album from Pat Colwell and The Soul Sensations and I haven’t seen them since.” Two new singles are scheduled for summer 2024 release. Women of SOUL is ninety minutes of pure, unadulterated, joy featuring the best of SOUL Superstars Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Etta James, Martha and The Vandellas, and Dusty Springfield. We even take a deep dive into the musical genius of lesser known, but brilliant artists like Ann Peebles, Mavis Staples, and the incomparable Fontella Bass! You may not remember her name, but who can forget the power of Fontella’s classic – RESCUE ME!
